Day 01 – Arrival / Delhi
Assistance on arrival at New Delhi international airport
and transfer to The Hotel. Delhi, Capital City of independent India rewards
the determined sightseer with more than a thousand monuments and two old
capital buildings complexes-including the present seat of Government, designed
by the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. Cosmopolitan hotels, shopping,
and fine restaurants abound. Delhi also offers a glimpse into the real
India: the labyrinthine street bazaars of Old Delhi, and the temples and
monuments of Indian’s chequered colonial past. In the deepest sense, from
Old Delhi’s Red fort and Jama Masjid mosque to New Delhi’s chic art galleries
and nightclubs, Delhi is profoundly Indian city. On arrival check into
your hotel for overnight stay.
Day – 02, Delhi /Udaipur
Spend the morning relaxing in your room. Afternoon transfer
to airport for flight to Udaipur (1 hour 35 minutes flight). Meeting and
assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to The Hotel. Evening
visit the Bada Mahal Wildlife Conservatory, a natural home to peacocks,
wild boar and spotted deer, located adjacent to the hotel. Visit the 200
year old hunting lodge of the Maharanas of Udaipur and witness frescoes
done in the ‘Gotai’ style using lime and marble paste. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day – 03, Udaipur
Morning yoga session at the hotel, followed by breakfast
and a tour of the city including a visit to the magnificent City Palace,
the Museum and the grand 400 year old Jagdish Temple devoted to Lord Vishnu.
Afternoon free time to explore the streets of Udaipur and colourful markets.
Alternately you can go for the sunset boat cruise on Lake Pichola. Overnight
at the hotel.
Day – 04, Udaipur
Today after breakfast, excursion to Chittorgarh Fort (approximately
3 hours drive). The most important bastion of Rajput power, its occupation
was the primary objective of any would-be ruler. Overnight at the hotel.
Day – 05, Udaipur / Jaipur
After breakfast check out of your hotel and transfer to the
airport for your flight to Jaipur (45 minutes flight). On arrival at Jaipur
airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon, tour of the
City Palace and the fascinating observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in
1728 and Hawa Mahal, also known as the ‘Palace of Winds’. Evening, an insight
into Rajasthani culture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day – 06, Jaipur
Morning yoga session at the hotel followed by breakfast and
an excursion to the Amber Fort. An elephant ride takes you up to the fort.
Evening free time to explore the streets and markets of Jaipur. Overnight
at the Hotel.
Day – 07, Jaipur / Agra
Spend the morning at leisure. Afternoon drive 5 hrs to Agra
en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted palaces and pavilions of
the Mughal kingdom now a Unesco world heritage and is a perfectly preserved
ancient city built by the great Mughal emperor, Akbar. On arrival check
into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day – 08, Agra
Early morning visit The Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders
of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a dream carved out
of white marble.Evening at leisure or simply explore the streets and markets
of Agra. Overnight at the hotel.
Note: The National park is open from 15 Oct to 30 June only
Day – 09, Agra / Delhi
After breakfast visit Agra Fort (a World Heritage Site) and
Itmad-ud-Daulah, regarded as an imminent precursor of the Taj Mahal. Afternoon
drive 5 hrs to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi check into your hotel for overnight.
Day – 10, Delhi
After breakfast tour the walled city of Old Delhi, Guarded
by the Red Fort (a World Heritage Site) built in 1648. Its narrow alleys
are dotted with countless landmarks including India’s largest mosque, the
Jama Masjid and the legendary marketplace of Chandni Chowk that stocks
everything from spices and perfumes, to jewellery and dress materials.
Afternoon tour of the historical sights of Delhi, including India Gate,
Qutab Minar (a World Heritage Site) and Rashtrapati Bhawan, the grand residence
of the President of India, designed by the British architect Edwin Lutyen.
Evening visit Dilli Haat, a contemporary art and crafts market that offers
a wonderful collection of Indian handicrafts. Overnight at the hotel.
Day – 11, Delhi / Departure
After breakfast transfer to international airport for flight
to onward destination.
