Trekking is considered to be one of the famous adventure sports in India. Unexplored jungles, breathtaking beauty of the mountains and hills offer enthralling trekking routes.
Trekking has not been very common in South India, but here we will try and explore the unexplored parts of the nature in wilds of South India, considered to be God’s own country.
Heading out from historic port town of Cochin along the Malabar Coast you travel along open countryside rich in plantations of tea, coffee, cardamom, rubber and legendary pepper from which great fortunes have been made even in ancient Rome. Your journey will be by road and on waterways in the traditional Kettuvallom house boats, Kerala's evocative answer to the caravans of the West. Overnight stay will be in Camps and charming bungalows replete with atmospheric touches.

Itinerary
South India Trekking Tour - Day 01, Arrival / Cochin
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to Hotel.
Evening sunset cruise. Evening free to relax at the hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
South India Trekking Tour - Day 02, Cochin
After breakfast proceed for Sightseeing of Cochin with your guide and chauffer driven car. Evening Kathakali Dance Show in a nearby theatre.
Overnight at hotel.
South India Trekking Tour - Day 03, Cochin / Thattekad
After breakfast start your day’s journey and reach Thattekad. On arrival stay at Hornbill camp. Afternoon nature walk around the forest. Overnight at the camp.
South India Trekking Tour - Day 04, Thattekad
Today after breakfast trek through the lowland rain forests at Edamalayar. Picinic lunch will be served under the open sky. Later return to the camp for overnight stay.
South India Trekking Tour - Day 05, Thattekad / Munnar
After breakfast check out of hotel and drive 3.5 hrs to Munnar. After lunch trek to the Rhodendrons grow wild at over 7000 feet if time permits, else explore the beautiful hill station on foot. Spend overnight in comfortable Lodge.
Explore Selva Malai, trek to waterfall and pools nearby Stargazing by the Campfire.

South India Trekking Tour - Day 06, Munnar
Morning explore Selva Malai, trek to waterfall and pools nearby and explore the tea gardens and also visit to some tea manufacturing units. Evening dinner with camp fire.

South India Trekking Tour - Day 07, Munnar / Meesapulimala
After breakfast Trek to Meesapulimala - truly the "top of the world" where you can see the plains of Tamil Nadu and Kodaikanal across the deep gorge. View the spectacular deep ravines of Silent Valley. Finish Trek at Kalypso camp.
South India Trekking Tour - Day 08, Meesapulimala / Thekkady
After breakfast check out the camp and drive to Thekkady. Evening jungle excursion by boat.

Morning after breakfast trek into the jungles with the naturalist. Evening jungle excursion by boat with naturalist. Overnight at hotel
South India Trekking Tour - Day 10, Thekkady / Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom. On arrival board your Kettuvallum Houseboat for overnight Stay. Whole day cruise through the canals, lakes and the backwaters. Lunch and dinner will be served under the open sky.
South India Trekking Tour - Day 11, – Alleppey / Cochin / Departure
After breakfast check out of the houseboat and drive 1 hr to Cochin airport for flight to onward destination.
