harbour city of Cochin passing through the serene backwaters of Kerala.
The highlight of the tour will be the backwater cruise at Kumarakom with
meals being served under the open sky. The tour will end on the sandy beaches
of Kovalam where you can stroll on the sandy beaches or opt for some ayurvedic
massages at the resort. Kerala, also known as “God’s own country” is on

Day 01 – Arrive / Cochin
You will be met on arrival at Cochin International
Airport and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour of
Cochin. During the tour with your well experienced guide, you will visit
The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, known for its wall murals depicting scenes
from the Ramayana, The Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church - the oldest
European church in India and built by the Portuguese in 1557 and The Chinese
fishing nets. Overnight at Cochin.

Day 02, Cochin / Periyar
After breakfast drive 4hrs through the scenic countryside
dotted with plantations of rubber, cardamom, cocoa, green pepper and areca
nut, to the wildlife reserve at Periyar. On arrival at Periyar check into
your hotel. Afternoon free to explore the town known for various Spice and
coffee plantations and Periyar Wild Life Reserve. Overnight at Periyar

Day 03 – Periyar
Early morning after a hot cup of tea or coffee, you
will proceed for jungle excursion by boat with your naturalist to see the
wildlife in Periyar Reserve. After breakfast bullock cart ride to visit
tea / coffee and spice plantations. Afternoon nature walk into forest with
your naturalist. Overnight at a hotel in Periyar.

Day 04, Periyar / Munnar
Morning game viewing by boat with your naturalist
to see wild elephants and other wildlife of the national reserve. Afternoon
drive to Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala. Munnar is situated near
the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. Arrive Munnar
and check into your hotel for overnight.

Day 05, Munnar
After breakfast excursion to Eravikulam National
Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. On arrival hike into the national
park to have a closed view of the Nilgiri Tahr. On return we will visit
to tea gardens and the tea manufacturing units. Afternoon free to explore
the beautiful hill station, once a famous summer destination of the British
rule. Overnight at Munnar.

Day 06, Munnar / Kumarakom
After Breakfast drive to 4 hrs Kumarakom.

Day 07, Kumarakom / Alleppey
After breakfast board your Kettuvallum Houseboat
with a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your comfort which will cruise
through the backwaters passing through the lakes and lagoons, rivers and
the waterways. This is the best way to explore the villages and rural life.
Enjoy the chirping of birds and occasional ripples in water and savor mouth
watering delicacies prepared in front of you by your Kitchen crew. Spend
the night on board the houseboat.

Day 08, Kovalam / Kanya Kumari / Kovalam
Today you will take full day return excursion to
Cape Camorin, the southernmost part of the Indian mainland. Kanya Kumari
is a pilgrimage centre of Hindus and famous beach destination. Visit the
Vivekananda Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam which are built about 400 metres
offshore.

Day 09, Kovalam
Spend the day at leisure or enjoy a soul soothing
massage at the beach resort. Overnight at beachwater resort.

Day 10, Kovalam / Departure
After breakfast transfer you will be transferred
to airport or railway station for your onward destination.
