Goa Carnival – 05 to 08 March 2012

Goa carnival was started by the Portuguese Kings and was celebrated every year just before the beginning of lent days. This festival is celebrated every year since that time and lasts for 3 days. During this period of festival, Goa looks completely different than the normal times. The festival charms the locals as well as the foreigners with its dance, music, parties and parades. There is celebration everywhere with live performances, plenty of food and drinks and multicolored processions. Goan music will make you sway to its tunes. The drums beats and the guitars will make you move your feet with it. In a way you will be compelled to join the party time. Goa is an ideal and perfect gateway to relax and refresh.

Goa Carnival 2012 - Day 01, Arrival / Mumbai

Meeting and assistance on arrival at international airport and transfer to Hotel.
Mumbai - the Manhattan of India Mumbai, earlier known as Bombay is the financial capital of India and a major film industry centre “Bollywood”. It serves as gateway for visitors to India and the starting point for itineraries covering the Western and Southern regions. The first glimpse of the British Empire’s “Jewel in the crown” was Bombay, and this bustling seaport is now a teeming metropolis, the heart of the country’s financial, commercial and industrial activities. Goa Carnival 2012 - Day 02, Mumbai / Goa

After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Goa. Assistance on arrival at Goa airport and transfer to your hotel / resort.
Goa - Once the jewel of Portugal's eastern empire, still retains many of the ways of the old Portuguese colony and is a firm tourist favourite. A lush, green territory with mile upon mile of beautiful beaches, the emphasis here is very much on fun and relaxation. Good food, good wine, song and dance and general merriment - just the place for letting your hair down and enjoying life. Goa however is not only beaches. Within striking distance of the capital, Panjim, one of India's prettiest cities, are a variety of historical temples, churches, lakes and parks, market towns and old-style Portuguese villas. Goa Carnival 2012 - Day 03, Goa

Today you will witness the most amazing and unique cultural extravaganza, the Goa Carnival. Join the processions and dance to the tunes of guitars and drums. Overnight at Hotel.

Goa Carnival 2012 - Day 04, Goa

Today you can again join the carnival and have fun and frolic or go for some sightseeing visiting some Churches and mansions of Goa. Also visit the spice garden with lunch. Overnight at Hotel.

Goa Carnival 2012 - Day 05, Goa / Mumbai

After breakfast check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Goa Carnival 2012 - Day 6, Mumbai / departure

Today, a half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai will be organised. Half day tour visiting Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill, offering a panoramic view of Marine Drive and Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat, Gateway of India and drive through the Crawford Market, Marine drive and Flora fountain. Later you will be transferred to the international airport for flight to onward destination.
